This online workshop, facilitated by Curator Annette Moloney, will offer artists an overview of different approaches to developing creative proposals for projects or bodies of work, for funding and/or commission opportunities.
About the Facilitator
Annette Moloney is a curator + commissioner + collaborator. Her practice includes curating exhibitions; producing public art commissions in a number of artforms; exhibitions and public engagement events; public sector policy development, implementation, evaluation and facilitation; artist’s professional development and mentoring as well as third level lecturing. She is a Public Art Specialist including eight years working with the Arts Council of Ireland as their Adviser on Public Art and the Government Per Cent for Art Scheme. Examples of her curatorial practice include working in 2015 as Cavan Curator in Residence (with Maeve Mulrennan) working directly with Artists from a range of artforms. She also received an Arts Council of Ireland Curator in Residence Award to develop ENDURANCE | RESILIENCE, a Curated @ Source project which explored the links between sport and human effort in contemporary art, located at the Source Arts Centre, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. A Fine Art graduate from Limerick School of Art & Design and the National College of Art & Design, she completed a Masters in Visual Arts Practice at IADT (Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology), Dublin, specialising in Curatorial Practice.
This workshop is delivered as part of the Cork/San Fran Peer In Programme, a transatlantic professional development programme delivered in partnership with San Francisco Artist Studios and supported by Cork City Council Twinning Cities Grant.
